PAM (Plant Asset Management) software is for analyzing LCC (Life Cycle Cost) of plant, optimizing plant operation and reducing facility maintenance cost. There are two kinds of packaged software such as CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System), EAM (Enterprise Asset Management) and FDS (Facility Diagnosis System). CMMS and EAM is not for specific industry, they are multi-purpose facility management system which is designed for many industries and for pursue making asset management more efficient. As against above, FDS is developed for specific industry, it is defined as “Software performs management and analysis of maintenance information that is necessary for a life diagnostic of facilities”. By utilizing software such as FDS effectively, it leads to the prevention of facility troubles, life extension of facilities. Then it gets possible to achieve reduction of facility maintenance cost. A-MIS (Facility diagnosis support system) is packaged software located as FDS for managing static equipment and piping at plant such as oil refinery, petrochemical and general chemical.
